Documents Required for Switzerland Visa
  • Visa Application Form – completely filled and signed by the applicant.
  • Passport of the applicant:
  • o Original and one copy.
  • o Must be valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from Switzerland.
  • o Valid UAE Residence visa is required with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date on which you submit your application.
  • o The passport must not be older than 10 years.
  • o The passport must contain 2 blank pages, at the very least.
  • For minors, the birth certificate of the applicant is required.
  • One recent photograph is required.
  • Copy of all previous Schengen visas, if applicable.
  • Copy of all travel arrangements:
  • o Flight bookings.
  • Copy of personal bank statements for the previous 3 months.
  • NOC from the employer of the applicant, stating:
  • o Applicant’s designation.
  • o Applicant’s contract length.
  • o Applicant’s salary details.
  • o The dates of approved leave.
  • o Purpose of the applicant’s leave.
  • If the applicant is the owner of a company, a valid trade license is required.
  • Copy of the hotel reservation is required.
  • Travel medical insurance is mandatory.

Photograph Specifications

The photograph must fulfill all the norms as specified by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). Failure of this criteria may result in the rejection of your application to obtain a visa for Switzerland.

  • The photograph must be passport-sized.
  • The photograph should not be older than 6 months.
  • The photograph should be taken against a light-colored and plain background.
  • The photograph should be taken in the portrait format.
  • Applicant’s face should cover 70-80% of the photograph.
  • The photograph should be sharp and clear.

Processing Time

Generally, the Embassy of Switzerland will take around 15 days to process your application. However, sometimes the processing time could be higher due to high demand volume.
