Documents Required for Obtaining a Spain Visa
  • Visa Application Form – duly filled out and signed by the applicant.
  • For minors under 18 years:
  • o Letter of consent from both legal guardians.
  • o Passports of the applicant’s guardians.
  • o Birth certificate of the minor.
  • o Checklist and Application form to be signed by both parents/guardians.
  • Passport of the applicant:
  • o Original and photocopy.
  • o Passport should have been issued in the last 10 years.
  • o Passport should have at least 2 blank pages.
  • o The passport should be valid for at least 3 months after the intended dates of travel.
  • Valid Schengen Visas, if applicable.
  • Letter of consent or NOC from local sponsors:
  • o If the applicant is sponsored by a company, the letter should state:
  • ▪ The purpose of the trip.
  • ▪ The length of the applicant’s employment contract.
  • ▪ Salary certificates.
  • ▪ Applicant’s designation in the company.
  • ▪ Copy of the Emirates ID.
  • o If the applicant is sponsored by a family member, NOC is required stating the family bondage.
  • o In the case of housewives and other dependents:
  • ▪ Sponsor’s salary certificate is required.
  • ▪ Copy of the sponsor’s passport is required.
  • ▪ Valid Schengen Visas, if applicable.
  • o For self-sponsored individuals:
  • ▪ Copy of the valid trade license.
  • ▪ Passport of the applicant with a valid UAE residence visa.
  • o Passport-sized photograph of the applicant.
  • o Any previous Schengen/US/UK/Canada/Japan visas, if applicable.
  • o Overseas medical and healthcare insurance.
  • o Proof of accommodation in Spain:
  • ▪ Any hotel booking or,
  • ▪ Copy of lease of any apartment or house or,
  • ▪ Private invitation to any personal accommodation.
  • o Applicant’s personal bank account statements for the last 3 months.
  • o Signed itinerary of the planned journey.
  • o Round-trip flight reservation.
  • o Marriage certificate, if applicable.

Photograph Specifications

Follow these specifications exactly as instructed to avoid any complications while applying for a visa to Spain from UAE.

  • The photograph should be passport-sized.
  • The photograph should be taken against a plain white background.
  • The photograph should be high in quality with the face entirely in focus.
  • The photograph should be printed on normal photographic paper.
  • The full face of the applicant should be visible, including ears and forehead.
  • The applicant should not smile in the photograph.
  • Glasses and/or headgear are not allowed unless they are worn for religious purposes.
  • Affix the photograph to the Visa Application Form with glue.

Processing Time
