Documents Required:

• Visa Application Form signed and duly completed by the applicant.
• For minors:
• o Signature and NOC from both parents is required.
• o Birth certificate of the applicant is required.
• Passport-sized photograph of the applicant.
• Passport of the applicant:
• o Original and one copy.
• o The minimum validity of the passport should be for at least 3 months after the intended stay in Portugal.
• o The passport should have at least 2 blank pages.
• o The passport should have been issued not more than 10 years ago.
• Copy of all the last 3 Schengen visas issued in the previous 3 years should be included, if applicable.
• UAE Residence Visa of the applicant:
• o Original and one copy.
• o Should have a minimum validity of three months following the applicant’s departure from Portugal.
• Valid travel insurance.
• Letter or NOC from any local sponsor, if applicable:
• o Employee’s status, position, length of contract, and salary details are to be included.
• o The letter should specify the approved dates of leave granted to the applicant.
• o For business owners:
• ▪ Valid Commercial Trade License is required.
• o For applicants on parents/university /spouse sponsorship:
• ▪ NOC from the sponsors is required.
• Copy of the flight reservation should be included.
• Proof of accommodation should be included:
• o Hotel reservation details.
• o Rental contract.
• o Proof of residential property, if any.
• o Invitation to any private accommodation.
• Personal bank account statements of the applicant for the previous 3 months.

Photograph Specifications

If you wish to get your visa application for Portugal approved without any complications, make sure you follow these photograph specifications:

• The photograph must be passport-sized.
• The photograph must be taken against a light-coloured and plain background.
• The photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
• The photograph must be taken in the portrait format.
• The face of the applicant should cover 70-80% of the photograph.
• The photograph must be sharp and clear.

Processing Time

It will take around 15 calendar days (starting one day after submitting the application) for the Embassy or the Consulate to process your visa application.

During times of high demand, the processing time might shoot up to 30 to 60 days.
