Documents Required for French Visa
- Travel document to assess the identity of the applicant (like a passport):
- o The document must have been issued within the last 10 years.
- o The document must have at least 2 blank pages.
- o The document should be valid for at least 3 months after the intended travel date.
- o For long-stay visas, the document should be valid for 3 months after the date of expiry of the visa.
- ID photograph of the applicant.
- UAE Residence Permit of the applicant.
- Documents proving an adequate socio-economic condition of the applicant.
- Proof of funds to finance a trip to France:
- o Personal bank account statements are required.
- Proof of accommodation in France:
- o Hotel reservation copies.
- o Property title deed.
- o Tenancy agreement.
- o Invitation to any private housing.
- Valid travel health insurance in case of emergencies.

Photograph Specifications
- The photograph must be recent (not more than 6 months old).
- The photograph should be 35 and 40 mm wide.
- The size of the face should be around 32 to 36 mm. It should take 70% to 80% of the entire photograph.
Processing Time
The time taken to process your visa application will depend on the volume of applications that the Embassy is dealing with at that point in time.
Generally, you should try to fill out the application form and submit it at least 30-60 days before the intended date of departure.
